Digital banking software in Kenya
Sika is core banking infrastructure built for Kenyan SACCOs, microfinance banks, and digital lenders. A white-label core banking platform with a real double-entry ledger, National ID / Huduma Namba KYC, digital lending, and mobile money. Ghana is our launch market. We open each new country when an anchor institution is ready to go live there.
Built for the Kenyan market
Kenya pioneered mobile money, and M-Pesa is the default rail for savings, lending, and payments. Any core banking platform in Kenya lives or dies on clean M-Pesa collection and reconciliation. Sika already runs mobile money as a first-class rail in Ghana, on an idempotent, conserving ledger.
The Central Bank of Kenya and SASRA regulate a rich ecosystem: commercial and microfinance banks, deposit-taking SACCOs, and digital credit providers. SACCOs and chamas (table-banking groups) are the heart of inclusion, mirroring the susu model Sika already runs natively in Ghana.
KYC in Kenya centres on the National ID. Sika’s national-ID layer is pluggable per country, so a Kenyan deployment can verify National IDs the same way other markets verify their own documents. The platform is built for more than one country from day one.
Central Bank of Kenya (CBK)
Sika already runs tiered KYC, AML and sanctions screening, maker-checker segregation of duties, immutable audit logs, and reporting. Before going live in Kenya, we confirm the full CBK requirements with our first partner institution.

Digital banking in Kenya: FAQ
What is the best core banking platform for a SACCO in Kenya?
Sika Digital Banking Infrastructure is a white-label core banking platform suited to SACCOs, microfinance banks, and digital lenders: a double-entry ledger, national-ID KYC, group and table-banking support akin to chamas, and digital lending. Sika is live in Ghana first. We open Kenya when an anchor institution is ready to go live there.
Does Sika integrate with M-Pesa?
Sika’s mobile-money layer already collects, disburses, and reconciles MoMo in Ghana on an idempotent, atomic ledger. M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and T-Kash plug into the same layer, and the M-Pesa connection goes live with our first Kenyan partner institution.
How much does core banking software cost in Kenya?
Sika uses transparent monthly subscription pricing with modular add-ons, from a Launch tier for small SACCOs and MFIs up to enterprise deployments. There is no multi-year licence or large upfront implementation fee. Pricing for Kenya is quoted in shillings when the market opens.
When is Sika available in Kenya?
Ghana is our launch market. We open each new country when an anchor institution is ready to go live there. Sika is already built to adapt: currency, phone formats, national-ID verification, and mobile-money rails plug in per country. Register your interest to help decide where Sika goes next.
